I agree w/ the surveys--if we're going to have 4+ hour workshops, they need to be in labs that allow water bottles or refreshment station.

The equipment in this lab we're workshopping in today is all tip-top and gorgeous--but all the browsers are 2 versions out of date. :-/

Though the weather was gawd-awful on the way into Mobile this morning, the sunset was absolutely gorgeous on my way home this eve.

Note to self: Turn in the timesheet early and you won't have to drive an hour in the middle of a tornado warning on the day it's due!

While I totally understand the decision, it's sad to see ISTE leave SL--inflated sim prices push yet another ed/non-p elsewhere.

The weather's crazy nice here for January. Other places have blizzards, but I just spotted people sunbathing on the local beach!

I've spent the majority of my day so far working on tutorial scripts for next week's workshop--clogs, blogs, and wikis, oh my!

No matter how many emails we send out w/ log-in info for new online students, we still get a ton of the "I have no idea what to do" calls

Arrived home from work to find seafood stuffed flounder and home-made potato salad waiting on me--I'm stuffed and well pleased. :D

I'm doing a happydance @ the moment. Just figured out that the latest SL V3 works w/ the school's firewall! Hallelujah!

I officially feel old tonight--eldest niece just arrived in Athens for her study abroad semester. Seems like yesterday she was 2!

It's official--big nephew has an ear infection. Spent the day having to tell him to keep it down because he can't hear himself.

1st day back @ work for the spring--so far, so good--though I'd forgotten I'd cleaned my office a bit before I left. OMG, organization!

Gotta love it when you're far enough in your studies that the assistantship covers all but $15 of fees. :)

Yay! No jury duty!

Trying to find things to do to occupy my time 'til I have to call in & find out if I have to report tomorrow for jury duty. Oh joy!

Bubba's back home--so far, so good--though he's going to be on meds for a while.

Had to take Bubba to the vet this morning. They're keeping him for observation. :(

Got my system back from Office Depot (after 3 1/2 mos)--holiday stuff piled in the office, so it won't get hooked up 'til tomorrow.

I can't respect a Gov. who pardons convicted murderers and rapists on his way out, leaving the mess for everyone else to clean up.

Dad's b-day dinner had it's own show--Jakers eating a piece of chocolate cake the size of his head. I see a bath in his very near future!

Had a nice outing with Mom in Ocean Springs, picking up stuff for my Dad's 70th b-day dinner tonight. :)

On the plus side, the cajun shrimp stuffed baked potatoes made for the game were *amazing*!

Typical SLunday in SL--voice issues, phantom pushing objects, stuff taking nearly 5 minutes to rez--thank goodness, no SLunday classes!

Diffusing nag champa oil while awaiting the full moon to come--it's in Cancer this time--I just wish I could get a good picture of it!

Noticed the gorgeous nearly full moon tonight when I was out and about. Due to be totally full tomorrow night--get out and enjoy!

Just discovered that today's Cuddle Up Day...the perfect night for a romantic date at home with your love. :D

I should mind my own advice--I'm warning the 'rents about being careful in the shower and to avoid falling--and then I go and do it!

I can tell that the weather's getting cooler again--the cats want to pile on top of me every time I sit down! :D
